Scott formed SK Sawyer in 2013. He is a licensed attorney, real estate broker, and builder, currently residing in Wayland, Massachusetts.
As an attorney, Scott has a broad litigation practice with a focus on landlord/tenant, estate planning, and real estate law. He has represented clients large and small, from Wall Street banks to pro bono clients. He has acted as litigation counsel on complex financial institution and regulatory matters and has served as outside counsel for several area non-profits. He has trial experience in a wide variety of cases. Scott also investigates fraud and Consumer Protection Act (Chapter 93a) cases.
Having represented many large financial institutions, Scott is familiar with the securities, regulatory, and legal aspects of loan syndication, appraisal diligence, investment suitability, fiduciary duty, foreclosure law, and lender/owner liability law.
As a real estate developer and licensed builder, Scott has over two decades of experience in both residential and commercial settings. Over the years he has served as a principal or trustee in numerous transactions, and has first-hand deep knowledge of all aspects of the buy/sell process, including zoning, construction and renovation, project finance, home lending markets, and private equity markets.
As a real estate broker, Scott brings a client-friendly “concierge” approach to property transactions. He has achieved a strong sales record in multiple markets, from selling multi-million dollar luxury residences to leasing apartments.
Scott serves as outside counsel for the Ecological Landscape Alliance and is also volunteer at a local organic farm. He is a volunteer coach for the Natick Comets youth hockey program.
